🤖 Engineering Manager — AI Agents

📍 Location: Paris, 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely — 💼 Contract: Permanent — 💰 Compensation: €130,000–150,000 + stock options — 🚀 Start date: as soon as possible

A French SaaS scale-up specializing in AI, post-Series A, based in Paris.

• Tech team: about 15 people
• Two product lines: orchestration/platform on one side, AI agents on the other
• BSPCE: for all employees, without exception
• AI Culture: AI isn't just in the product—it's in day-to-day development workflows

🎯 The Role

You'll be in charge of the AI Agents vertical: cutting-edge products that are closely aligned with customer needs, where technology and the product evolve together.

• Manage the team that builds the agents: scope definition, delivery, quality, and skill development
• Stay hands-on: you code, you proofread, you troubleshoot—the keyboard never gets put away
• Working in tandem with the product: the specs are built with you, not in front of you
• Recruit and build the team as the vertical grows

⚠️ What You Need to Know

• The AI Agents vertical is in its early stages: the scope is shifting, the roadmap is being rewritten, and we need to be able to make decisions based on incomplete information.
• The work schedule consists of 3 days on-site in Paris and 2 days working remotely. Fully remote work is not an option; this is not negotiable.
• The company is looking for an EM who gets things done, not a manager who just delegates

🧑‍💻 The stack

• Backend: TypeScript, NestJS, GraphQL
• Frontend: React
• AI: Python as the Building Blocks of Artificial Intelligence

🎯 Ideal Candidate Profile

• Career Path: Starts as an IC, then becomes an EM; typically 3 to 4 years in development, followed by 1 to 2 years in management
• Background: You've been through a post-Series A scale-up, so you know what the transition to scale brings.
• Approach: hands-on and product-driven, comfortable both with challenging a requirement and with delivering results
• Bonus: Hands-on experience with LLMs and agent systems

📌 Prerequisites

• Fluent in French and English: the team works in both languages on a daily basis
• Based in the Île-de-France region: 3 days of on-site work in Paris per week. Applications requiring a fully remote position or relocation will not be considered.
