👨‍💻 Backend / Full-Stack Engineer — Fintech

The product was completely rebuilt in 2025. The technical foundation is sound; now it’s time to build on it.

🎯 The Mission

The challenges are primarily related to the backend.

• Build: Develop the key features that remain to be delivered following the product redesign
• Automate: Drastically reduce the volume of support tickets by empowering users
• Simplify: Maintain a healthy codebase and a clean architecture, without over-engineering

⚠️ Please note: We are currently handling a high volume of support tickets. This is a reality of the job, and it is precisely what the team is working to reduce.

🧑‍💻 The stack

• Backend: NestJS, TypeScript
• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript
• Data: PostgreSQL (95%), MongoDB (5%)
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Scaleway, Terraform
• Mobile: Flutter, React Native migration in the works

🦸 Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience: At least 5 years; able to work independently and hit the ground running
• Skills: Very strong in backend development and TypeScript (experience with NestJS is a plus)
• Versatility: able to deliver some front-end features using React
• Bonus: Experience with scale-ups, infrastructure, or payment systems

📌 Prerequisites

• Fluent French: The team's day-to-day operations, documentation, and internal communications are conducted entirely in French
• Valid authorization to work in France, with no action required on the part of the employer
• Based in the Île-de-France region: This is an on-site position in Paris, requiring on-site work for most of the week. Applications requesting a fully remote arrangement or relocation will not be considered.

🪜 The Hiring Process

1. Screening — 45-minute video call: presentation of the vision and role, assessment of mutual compatibility
2. Past project + behavioral — 60-minute video call: a technical deep dive into a project of your choice, followed by a discussion of your work methods
3. Pair programming — 3 hours on-site, €150 compensation: product presentation, architecture proposal for a new feature, followed by implementation with AI assistance. Computer provided; choice of IDE
4. Founder Interview — 30 min: Cultural Fit and Long-Term Vision
