The job of SYSTEM & NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (M/F)

The role of theNetwork Administrator, also known as System and Network Administrator, Network Manager or Network Administrator, is to guarantee the proper flow of information within the company by managing and verifying the proper functioning of its IT infrastructure.

The missions

  • Optimization of the network with the redesign of some hardware or software of the system;
  • Reception and installation of computer and telephone equipment;
  • Compatibility tests of the new equipment with the existing installations;
  • Setting up and securing the network to protect confidential company data;
  • Network performance analysis and potential problem resolution;
  • Integration of new applications and network extension;
  • Management of different accounts and access rights for internal users;
  • Monitoring of the network operating budget;
  • Response to user needs.

Technical and relational skills

  • Very good skills in network computing (cabling, routing protocols, cybersecurity and access rights management)
  • Very good knowledge of operating systems, since these are what the end users of the network will access.
  • Ability to solve complex and new problems.
  • Good interpersonal skills, since the end users of the structure's networks are human.
  • Project management skills, both in terms of constraints and successful completion.
  • Knowing how to keep abreast of all technological developments, but also changes in standards, to provide the company with the best possible solution.
